Don't know why they still go under the name of Sepultura anymore. They should change their name like Gorerotted did a few years ago.

Anyways, I hope this album will do A Clockwork Orange justice. It's one of my favorite books and movies. It's be interesting to see if they incorporate the Nadsat into the lyrics or some audioclips into the songs. Acid Bath's "Cassie loves Cockaroaches" utilized that audioclip so well at the beginning of the song; I don't know if sepultura could beat that.

"Brazillian Thrashers"

I wonder if their still fit to be considered thrash.

Woo! Excited about this, Dante was an excellent album so hopefully they'll make another epic.

And yes, they're still very Thrash.

I can't help feeling a little sorry for Sepultura. They're basically out of the mainstream now, largely ignored by the metal community, and yet they still have their small and dedicated fanbase. And they continue to put out albums.

I wonder if the unique language used in the book will make its way into this hopefully horrorshow album.

Probably won't be worth a wank, just like all their post Max albums.

SEPULTURA invited the media for a first listen of their new album 'A-LEX' inspired on the book 'A Clockwork Orange'. The album is scheduled for release in November 2008.

The album title 'A-LEX', russian for "no law".

01. A-LEX I
02. Moloko Mesto
03. Filthy Rot
04. We've lost you
05. What I do!
06. A-LEX II
07. The Treatment
08. Metamorphosis
09. Sadistic Values
10. Forceful Behavior
11. Conform
12. A-LEX III
13. The Experiment
14. Strike
15. Enough Said
16. Ludwig Van
17. A-LEX IV
18. Paradox
I don't know why they insist on 8 interludes an album. Title is interesting.

I have to say I agree, but then the Dante album wasn't anything special.

Also, going a bit off topic here, but does anyone here agree that Roots is overrated?

Whoa. I guess we're in for Dante pt. II, which is both :) and  .

Overrated how? It's not the best album ever released, but it is pretty damn good, as well as a Metal Classic of the 90s. Sep's best are Schizo, Beneath and Arise.

After hearing the awesome Chaos A.D, Roots was a step down, too many nu metal elements and the tribal thing was overdone, IMO.

At least all the songs didn't sound the same.

I don't like it. Really has nothing to do with the concept as far as I can tell besides maybe the mechanical, ie: clockwork, structure.

You're ignoring the fact that it's black and red, like Beneath The Remains, and is complex and weird, like Arise. I love post-Max Sepultura, but for the first time the idea is arising that other people might too... :D

Plus, Andreas Kisser is doing a solo album soon! How can it not be awesome?
