Oh. My. God. Well, that's just a terrible way to start a weekend...

RIP, Mike. We SG fans will remember what an amazing singer you were.

R.I.P. This is really sad news. An excellent vocalist. Very emotional. Shadow Gallery is one band that is often overlooked when it comes to prog rock/metal. I enjoy this band much more than Dream Theater. Am building up my Shadow Gallery collection. Their s/t and Legacy are very good albums and Baker was an outstanding vocalist.

This is terrible news. I don't know when it will start but some of these metal guys are getting up there in age. Its going to be a sad decade when the originators start to go.

This is terrible, Mike was one of the best out there. He could do almost anything with his voice. Just listen to Christmas Day on Tyranny.

I have all their albumsm, and all of them are great.

RIP Mike, you will be truly missed.

The future of Shadow Gallery

From Gary Wehrkamp:

Shadow Gallery will continue. We will finish this record and make it as potent as it can be.
There are some questions to be answered, but we feel confident we will be provided with the answers.
The band has read so many of the wonderful heart touching comments, and heard from so many people these past two weeks and we look forward to giving the Shadow Gallery fans our very best, to honor them, and Mike.

NO disrespect to Mike Baker, but I didn't think this would have affected SG simply because he did not have as much influence in the group as the other guys. Whenever I read the liner notes it is apparent that he wasn't responsible for the vocals per-se as he was one of the two singers in the band, and at that, he wasn't the guy coming up with the actual vocal parts the majority of the time. This isn't to downplay his role in the band, but I don't think too much will change other than his voice being present on the album.
