Should be a solid album, but i think the jury is still out on that title track. The buildup is quite good as is the opening scream by Halford. But then the intensity drops a fair bit during the verses.

 hmmm, not sure what to make of it yet...need to hear more songs

Remember it's a concept album. From the looks of things, that track comes fairly late...

Otherwise, awesome! Love the orchestral/operatic direction, hopefully this will be one hell of an album.

Wow, I was disapointed with angel of retribution much because of its lack of memorable chorioses and guitar solos, but they've fixed it in this release. This song is 10 better than the best song on their last album

Damn, this is very good. I didn't expected the Priest to make such a song anymore, I'm happy I was wrong :D

Angel of Retribution was awesome, and this is completely awesome as well. Priest, I salute you.

I think the introduction is one of the best parts. When they mentioned 'opera' influences I thought it was the normal bullshit hype associated with concept albums, but I'm very excited they actually tried it. It was totally unexpected and fresh (coming from a band like Priest), and I applaud them for doing something new.

I agree 100%. The intro kicks ass. And Rob sounds unbelievably powerful.

I'm going to go with the majority here and say:

BTW, is it just me, or does it sound like Halford was paying indirect tribute to the late Luciano Pavarotti with that opening?

The intro is awesome. I hope there are more like this. After several listenings, the song itself reminds me Hellrider from AOR a bit. But it's much better.

I've listened to it many times now and it still doesnt grab me as much as i'd hoped. I do hope that the other songs are of better quality than this one.

Rules. I didn't have high hopes for the new album since AoR disappointed me so much, but as it looks now, I'll certainly be picking this one up.

if the rest of the songs are even half as good as this one then this album will be the heavy metal album of the year.
