I've never equated suicide with cowardice. Death is a big black abyss and it would take a lot of nerve to face it voluntarily. Seems like the easy route would actually just be to carry on living getting more and more miserable/apathetic.

That said, I don't really care about the death of this guy.

Because unlike you they don't drive it into the ground and insult people along the way. They state their opinion and move on.
