Green is now a far better vocalist than Max. Way, way better. I'm sure Max appreciates all your loyalty, pity the same can't be said for James Hetfield.

He's allright on the stuff that they write for him, but he was horrible on the old stuff. This was the Nation tour mind, which Against and Nation are very mediocre albums. It's the same case as with Blaze Bayley, he was great on the Iron Maiden material written for him, but he damn near got laughed off the stage when he tried to do the Dickinson/Di'Anno songs.

And Hetfield would be a lot better off if he didn't try to traditionally sing, which he can't do.

Only because people are so used to the Max/original versions.

The rest of you, I mock: 'back to da back to da back to da front-LINES ooaaaaaaah ooaaaaaaaaaaaah'. Sure, Max is better.

As for Hetfield, I'll agree that he's hardly a good singer, but his voice always seemed to fit for me. Thrash is weird that way -> Mustaine!

Cavalera's voive suited the sound of the first 4 Sep albums like a glove. Sure, he was a bit crap, but so what, it sounded brutal, right?

the guy from Gojira says this:

Quote:
"Mention Max and Igor and I'll tell you about 'Chaos AD' or 'the rebirth of metal,' or 'Arise' or 'Troops of Doom'!!! That or something like, 'Hell yeah, man!!!' After ten years, they're finally recording an album together again and are bringing back this very special energy that makes metal music so crazy back to life.

"I just want to say that I'm amazingly happy and honored to be part of this great project. On this album with the Cavalera brothers, Marc Rizzo from SOULFLY is playing lead guitars and I'm doing bass, while producer Logan Mader is building the sound.

"I don't really have the words to express what I'm feeling right now.

"I was coming here to Los Angeles to be part of something big and impressive, a 'monument in history,' if you will. And finally, I'm just jamming and recording some spontaneous, brutal, powerful straight-up music with down-to-earth and very cool people...and I think that's the best way to record a metal album. I understand now what the word 'awesome' means..."

Oh, get over yourself, for goodness' sake. This coming album'll make Nailbomb look like a classic.
