I hope you are being ironic.

No, they actually have ways of testing these things now.

These guys heard that Slayer and Maiden finally released something decent and that Celtic Frost reformed and hurried to put them all on their lists. And apparently it's very trendy to listen to the new The Haunted, Evanescence and Satyricon.

I'm also glad to see Sundin liked Om. I like Amott's list, he has good taste, too bad he doesn't use it when composing anymore.

Haha,so true.Maybe someday Arch Enemy will impress again, whether by a return to form or by experimenting with something new.I can only hope.Still, lots of other fish in the sea so to speak.

And I too do not like Tool.Never have, never will.Simple truth of mine.A perfect circle? Not for me.Does that make me flawed in some way?How can anyone other than the gods say?I know what I like, and they are not it.

Interesting list I suppose, though I wish some more of my favorite artists were on it.

Yeah that is a pretty bad list, but I've seen a lot of my favorite musicians choose crappy bands. Whatever keeps them happy.

Well, that makes me excited to hear a new Anthrax album!

But I'm not surprised so many musicians chose complete garbage on that list, they don't really have the kind of free time to listen to music that normal people do. I'm sure they manage to pick a few things up, but for the most part, they are busy with their own bands and many have day jobs on top of that.

Yeah, members of well-known bands never really give good recommendations for new stuff, I suppose because they don't have time to find any.

Leave that to those of us with plenty of time on our hands :D

I've actually gotten some amazing recommendations from the guys from Canvas Solaris and The Postman Syndrome...

I'm surprised that Katatonia got such love on this list. Their new album reminded me of Korn

Not me. I love Katatonia to the point it's almost homosexual, but yeesh, those last two albums might as well have a Beware of Mallcore sticker on them.
