I won't deny you listen to some metal, dude, but really, just look at your last fm stats. Out of your top 25 bands, there are three metal ones: Avenged Sevenfold (which many don't consider metal), Iron Maiden, and Metallica. The only metal band on this week's top artists for you is Lacuna Coil. You clearly don't listen to a lot of metal, man.

Metal Church never kicked my ass... I can't recall any of their songs which is never a good thing especially when I owned 2 of their albums back in the 80's, a time when I had more patience to listen to a record that didn't al least sparkle some interest at first. so I might have listened to each album about 20 times and yet I can't remember EVEN ONE SONG ?
that's why I think Metal Church sucks.

Not liking a band and saying they aren't legends in the metal world are two different things, Frenchie.

You forgot The Dark their second album you can't recommend MC without including that classic album.

The Dark is my fourth favourite Church album... That is to say its absoloutely amazing. Another one to check out; really, you can't go wrong with any Metal Church, even if you are French and think that Coheed and Cambria and A Perfect Circle are metal.

I've never even heard of MetalChurch! So how are they legendary fuckers if someone that knows some decently obscure stuff dont even know these legands!

Stefan wins

I must admit, I listened to the songs yesterday and found them vaguely good, but not that special. Metal Church aren't that amazing, legends or not.

Edit: and yes, I have heard more than just those two songs.

Oh my! I've been an idiot not checking this band out before, I mean I always heard their name, but never bothered. I think it's the name that put me off.

Anyways, these songs kick major ass, especially A Light in the Dark, so groovy and awesome, I don't remember headbanging in front of the computer for a long time, I couldn't help it. I'm definitely getting this shit.

Metal Church are legendary for good reason.

and what good reason would it be ?
having a singer who was the best mimicking Udo Dikschneider (before 3 Inches of Blood even existed that is)? having produced nothing but average albums all their career ? or that they still exist despite so little talent they have ?
just asking...

Stefan, you like Avenged Sevenfold, yet not Metal Church? Art thou homosexsheeal? I'm pretty sure there's something contradictory about being an 80s metalhead and not liking Metal Church.

Anyway, Metal Church is one of the greatest bands of all time. They have yet to release a bad album (their worst, Masterpeace, is still an enjoyable album that I rate in the high 70s). Too all those who hath not heard the fury that is Metal Church, get their self titled debut, Hanging in the Balance, and Blessing in Disguise. That should start you off well. Then you can get the rest of their discography.

I love Masterpeace! I feel that is one of their best! Very similar to Wayne's solo effort...RIP

Because you're like 15 years old and think Sepultura is a nu-metal band?

Why would someone post just to start an argument? Everyone is saying Metal Church are legends, which they are, and then you say the are not memorable or they are no good is just asking for an argument. Then the Overkill comment, why must you say such foolish things? Those comments are probaly the stupidest things I have read since I have been here.

Jesus christ, I'm not opening one of those song things but I can tell you that I wish I listened to a lot more non metal stuff...But I don't. That's the way ti is. I can also tell you that I'm almost always listening to either death or thrash metal-I listen to other metal genres a lot but goddamn my musical taste is shallow.

Why do you wish that? If you don't, its clearly because you're aesthetically pleased by thash and death metal, and not anything else. Why the hell should you listen to other musical genres for the sake of it? Why is it considered shallow to only listen to certain genres, just because its the only ones you like? Are you a shallow movie fan if you don't like romantic movies? Is someone a shallow art fan because he only likes Baroque and Renaissance art? This open minded elitist bullshit pisses me off just as much as the regular elitism.
