I have never heard anyhting past the black album, and i intend to keep it that way.

Load and Reload a good, solid rock albums.

I agree. Load is pretty good and Reload has some good songs.

I fully agree, and, once again, if Metallica had been cleverer back then they would have picked the best songs out of both albums and made a SUPERLoad ! but still, that's 10.000 feet above Shit Anger (and better than the Black Album too) :D

Seems like the next album will have nu metal influences. Anyway, stopped caring about this band long ago.

Eyesore, your earlier Lars impression about the shit drum sound was pretty good. To bad he would never say that. In reality, he probably would say this about his drums on St. Anger:

Lars: "You know, we've never done anything like this before. I was like, f*ck, this is different. If people don't like it, they can f*ck off for all I care."

James: "Yeah, man. F*ck 'em."

There are so many metal acts out their I prefer especially given releases after AJFA I'm not fussed how good it is but they will sell heaps no matter what it's like.

I disagree with you. The black album is waaaaay better than the loads (any of them). It was still metallica, with cool riffs and cool guitar solos. In load and reload it seems like kirk forgot how to play a solo, not to mention Shait Anger.

That's why i like the black album. It still sounded like metallica and had some solid riffs/solos. Load/Reolad sounded a bit forced. I wouldn't say they were totally bad, but yes, weak when compared to metallica's earlier albums except for KEA which i hate.

They're gone.

They don't want to play metal anymore. They made 2 hard rock albums with Load and Reload, but they really hit rock bottom with St. Anger.

If you watch "Some Kind Of A Monster", you can see how fucked up they are. Kirk doesnt want to play solos anymore. Lars and James only care about looking pissed and angry. They forgot all about the music. They are too worried about their attitude and what they are saying in their lyrics.

Unfortunately, I see Childron Of Bodom going the same way.

No, he was just too spineless to force the other two into letting him play them on the last album.

Anyway, solos are cool again, so the new album will have plenty.

But I am genuinely curious as to how this will sound. We know that the only metal band Lars likes nowadays is Avenged Sevenfold, so is that going to be what they're aiming for?

If they were real trend whores, they'd change themselves into Emotallica

Anyways, I suppose people holding their breath waiting for Metallica to release another good album should exhale at this point.

Also, Children of Linkin Park have already gone down the shitter.

Metallica... that is not the band whose members were abduced by an UFO while they were preparing the black album, and were substituted by alien clones with no idea about music?

Well, I hope the real ones will be doing good albums in outer space. About the fake clones, I don't care. I lost interest in them long ago.

I'll laugh if they start screaming like little bitches then go into a poppy emo chorus then have breakdowns galore.
