Ok theres a bunch of good musicians in there.....and then there's Shagrath....... :lame:

King, Frost, Ice Dale and Herbrand Larsen are all too good to be slumming around with that boring vocalist....

Also that is some of the worst bm cover art ever. EVER!

I don't get why people hate on Shagrath so much.

Dude... just look at him. He's as fake and overdone as the albums his bands churn out. Now granted, Dimmu Borgir served as my stepping stone to black metal with actual substance -- but that doesn't mean I have to like the stone anymore.

I don't really have a problem with Dimmu. They have some really good moments at times. Just seems like he's really into the show part to be honest.

Just another metal band to me, not the best, definitely not the worst.

theatrics seem to be too much of what dimmu is about. they're like the KISS of black metal. they have some cool music, but if you're really looking for music in the genre, they have far less substance and creativity to offer than many others. their music is easy enough to swallow, and their image makes them perfect for the more 'rebellious' of commercial audiences.
