I tend to think when a band does a new album agter only a year that it can represent disatisfaction with the previous effort. Certainly, Nocturnal Rites and Primal Fear released excellent albums last year after weaker 2004 releases.
Of cours another way of looking at it is this:
-Album A is released in the last quarter of 2004, Album B is released in the first quarter of 2006.
-Album C is released in the first quarter of 2005, album D is released in the last quarter of 2006.
The same amount of time has passed between the two.
