Many 7-9 min tracks... I´m worried when they refer their epic songs
to Paschendale instead of... Ancient Mariner or Alexander...as they should. Feels like they´ve lowered their standards. Only my humble opinion of course.

Paschendale was an incredible song.

I thought Brave New World was boring. It sounded like they were trying to be old Maiden and failed. They can't do it anymore. On Dance of Death they stopped trying and succeeded. Hopefully they continue that path rather than kidding themselves into thinking they're still a rowdy bunch of young rockers.

Iron Maiden has always been horrible and this will be no exception. As the Blabbermouth review of Brave New World so aptly put it, they need to get with the times and add rap to their music.

You suck dude. Seriously.

Although it may not have been obvious, that was a joke. I was hoping the "rap" comment might have passed it off as such, but I guess not. I'm a huge Maiden fan and am looking forward to this album tremendously.

Fanboy or not, I think it's a universal fact that Maiden just fucking owns.

It's not like it's going to be any good. Seventh Son is their last great album and the rest range from mediocre to downright crap.

I can't agree of all with that, butchanging it a little, I say:

I'd support a comment like this if it were in the past tense.

I must say that even though I have lost much interest in PowerMetal over the years, Iron Maiden has and will always be one of my favorite bands.
Brave New World was an incredible return from the mediocracy they were admittedly producing after Seventh Son. It is a fantastic ablum, and while Dance isn't as good it still rocks shit.

Oh, and why use Paschendale as opposed to Ancient Mariner? Becuase Mariner is 22 years old at this point and Paschendale is a must more accurate depiction of thier current sound.(Plus it's a fan-fuckin-tastic track)

Pretty good news from the guys from maiden. Hopefully this will blow us all away. I'm very excited to hear what they'll have for us in early September!
