This is great. One of the truly underrated bands might now get some attention. - If the album is good of course.

Wow, thats awesome. I'm a little worried about this sacrificing of neo-classical tendencies in favour of more heaviness, though... Is this going to be a metalcore album?

I am glad this Happened. A lot of people don't like Rivera's singing, but it's perfect for that band in my opinion.

Well, Rivera has been doing the Distant Thunder thing for a good while now, and they've toured under the name of Helstar many times because the band can only get shows/promotion under the name of Helstar. It's unfortunate. Granted that line-up was different, but I have faith.

They just did a 20th year anniversary tour so hopefully the chemistry is there, you know? Rivera has released some killer music over the years since Helstar so I'm confident.

They have the whole Remnants Of War album streaming here: http://www.helstar.com/media.html, let the noobs be schooled!

In the interview they did say they hope to do an album sounding like a cross between Remnants and Nosferatu... if done right it would be great !

IMO Distant Thunder is Rivera's best project.

But it's Helstar, basically, under a different name. Multiples Of Black is a Vigilante (post-Helstar) album under the Helstar name. The band has had no luck EVER! Rivera tries a new band and everyone wants Helstar or else he can't get any deals. Regardless, all incarnations are killer.

My favorite Helstar album is Multiples Of Black, so that's basically a Vigilante album under a different name. :)
