Sup guys, i was listening to dimmu borgir the other day with songs like "in death's embrace" and "progenies of the great apocalypse" and i love these songs particularly of the metal-orchestra or metal with piano type of atmosphere. I would like to know which other bands/songs have this type of feel and that kick ass? thx in advance ![]() |

Check out Old Man's Child. Their (and by "their" I mean "Galder's") latest two, "In Defiance Of Existance" and "Vermin" kick particaular amounts of ass. ![]() |

I'll second the Hollenthon reccomendation. Fantastic stuff there, very folky as well. Also a little known BM band called Profanium, they use violens, cellos, and piano very heavily in their music. |

Hollenthon was very good, I'll third it. But basically the answer to your question was Therion. |
