I'm sure this has been up before but what are some of your favorite metal instrumentals? I love instrumentals but can't really seem to find any that matches Orion or The Call of Ktulu. Not that I've been looking hard though ;) So what are your favorites? |

Def Leppard - Switch 625 (always been a favorite) Nightwish - Moondance (polka!) Devin Townsend Band - Away (a most excellent tune) Savatage - Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) There are plenty of great instrumentals out there, but I honestly don't think you can touch "Orion" or "The Call Of Ktulu" by Metallica. A lot of instrumentals are cool, some even great, but those two are fucking classics! They're amazing! Both songs have some of the best, catchiest fucking metal riffs ever written! |

By "instrumental," I assume you're talking about a band that has vocals for the most part. Dark Tranquillity -- Ex Nihilo Dream Theater -- Stream Of Consciousness ...And for some reason, I can't think of any more. |
