More than me

Just make some bleepy shit, and youre in. You dont have to be Nobuo Uematsu  (though it would be cool of you were!)

And for sounds, watch out for those high bleepy keyboard bits, they nee to be mixed in well or they sound shit. See Ulvers, A Quick fix of melancholy.

Also, to make black ambient, there needs to be more instruments, and some of that feedback shit you had early on. Look up Striborg for a vague idea. (but dont look too hard, Sin Nanna isnt very good!)

The choirs and strings on :moontears ov Wal-mart were good too.

he he, yes... i actually did thinking about making some Nobuo Uematsu fantasy music when i got the keyboard. But it'll have to wait till i come up with a good melodi etc. Sometimes i come up with some cool shit inside myhead, but i tend to forget them again, because it's before falling asleep. On the other hand, it's not coming up with the good music inside the head that's a problem, it's how u manage to get the idea out of the speakers

It is true that some artist makes use of other instruments as well when they make their ambient black, such as Vinterriket and Paysage D'hiver, who makes use of guitars also etc. However, some of their work is purely electronic, with parts distorted. I don't think i will use Sin Nanna as my source of influence... i'll use Vinterriket and Pd'H

But first i think i will make it easy for myself. When i get the time i will sit down and analize different pieces of ambient black to see how it's structured, cuz i have some trouble figuring out how long the melodies should be, how to make bridges right, etc etc. Not that i will copy other ppl's music, or anything, he he :P
Plus i need to learn how to have patience and a longer attention span.

EDIT: crap i posted this message before linking to a song i'm uploading... stay tuned.. it's nothing speciel“.. but its 8.5 min long... quantity over quality

EDIT 2: there Mystic Forest ov waltzing gnomes in bikini- mp3

thank you!!! :dio:

it was all made in real-time, except the violin-thingy, which is why there's some sections of the song that doesn't sound too good, in terms of melody and rythm, too many repitation.
