Derrek Roddy tried out for Psyopus but they said no, because he was fast, but not technical enough.

PS: The guy from dragonforce is Vadim Pruzhanov

Haha really? Psyopus also used to have 2 guitarists but one of them had to quit because playing that fast hurt his hands. o.o

From metal-archives:

Quote:
Trivia about this album:
Turbo Music sent a large sum of money to the Beherit guys record "The Oath of
Black Blood" album, though they didn't expect that Holocausto and friends would
spend the whole money on drugs and booze. In the end, there was no album, so
Turbo Records decided to release the "Demonomancy" demo along with "Dawn of
Satan's Millennium" 7'' as a full lenght. Still, it is widely regarded as
Beherit's first album.

James Labrie of Dream Theater was offered Lead Vocals of Iron Maiden when Bruce Dickinson left. He politely refused.

another interesting tidbit:

In 1964, Barry Skeels, Steve Drewett, Chris Rose and Alan Hooker formed an acoustic band in Basildon, Essex that eventually evolved into a band called Iron Maiden (nothing related with the famous band) who became a doom band.

Hawkwind is so awesome that they kicked out Lemmy, whereafter he started his own band called Bastard. His label had a problem with this name though, so he changed the name to Mötorhead, which is actually the name of a Hawkwind song.

When Timo Tolkki joined the band he kicked out all the original members and took the name for himself.

Wow, that's interesting. I'm assuming that this was after he was in Dream Theater? I can't imagine him turning down that offer before being in Dream Theater...

More Labrie: His full name is Kevin James Labrie. when he joined Dream Theater they alredy had two dudes called John and one called Kevin. They figured having two Kevins would make things a little confusing so asked Labrie to use his middle name.

Similar thing happened with Bruce Dickenson. His first name is actually Paul, but Iron Maiden had had too many bad experiences with lead singers named Paul.
