No, not really. It might be a contender for the non-bm album of the year for me, but it's early to speak. I'm just giving the band the hype they deserve. This one isn't as good as Leviathan, but still great.

Man, tomorrow the new Ani Difranco album comes out so I'll be buying that, I'll buy a Mastadon album and if it doesn't kick my ass I'm banning Husker.

I was suspicious when I saw that this isn't even a promo but after hearing it I'm pretty sure this is the final version. They finished recoding in April, this is getting released in a month, this has to be the real thing.

this is as good, if not better than Leviathan.

Siberian Divide is funny because I swear they're using the exact melody/rhyhtm from Hearts Alive. I wish Cedric Bixler had done more than just the yells :(

I'll dl this tomorrow. I've only heard one track by Mastoden, and it didn't really do anything for me, hopefully this lives up to the hype Kath is giving it, since cool covers like that have to have good music to go with it. :wink:

The technical bit in 'Capillarian Crest' really does it for me. And 'Bladecatcher' is the best song ever written. First impressions tell me this album is more intense and consistant than Leviathan, but it's early days. No doubt I'll be buying this CD on day of release.

My first impressions of this are that it's good but not as good as Leviathan. This will take a few listens to get it all though.
