(Continued) Couldn't find the old thread so...

On my geetarr-Testament-Into the Pit -- I'm learning this because it's kinda out of my league, it took me like an hour just to nail the intro.

Slayer-Angel of Death -- Not nearly as demanding, but probably more fun to actually play.

I'm learning The Cage by Sonata Arctica on air guitar and air keyboard. I'm getting better at the guitar solo (the first part in particular), but the second keyboard solo is a bit of a tougher nut to crack.

Scorpions - Wind of Change on drums. Not hard at all, but I'm not very good at all either :P

And pretty much every song on my playlist on desk drumming, which is starting to piss the rest of my family off :P

Am I the only one that finds playing other people's songs boring... I mean, maybe from time to time it's OK, and it sure as hell helps you develope your technique and a better understanding on a band/genre; but I enjoy writting my own shit a lot more.

Been learning Judas Priest- Painkiller and Carcass- Corporal Jigsore Quandary on drums.

I agree that making original songs is a lot more fun than covers!

I enjoy writing my own stuff more, but i still practice other people's tunes, mainly because it's good to have some sort of repertoire of standards for jamming with other people.

Bob Marley -- I Shot The Sheriff

On the bass. I got the intro down pretty well, but it's just the rest that needs working on.

I'm trying to record some of my stuff, but playing the drum parts I had so vividly imagined proved to be harder than I thought. With no formal training in that particular instrument double pedals are quite hard to get right.. :x
