This was brought up before? What are your thoughts? I'm beginning to think one big thread for all music would be better. Thoughts? |

Yay, except your posts could be buried pages and pages back really quick if ALL recent purchases were together. |

That's true. And that's the one problem I have with it. |

Nay, leaves little room for discussion on one's purchases. |

How about a global sticky per month? At the end of the month, unsticky the topic but don't lock it (unless it just won't die), and create a new sticky for the next month. Rinse, repeat. |

They have just one on Devin Townsend's board and it works there. |

Why are you pushing so hard for it? You'll utilize the thread once: "I purchased every CD known to man. Peace." And then what? You tell me. |

I think it wouldn't work. I tell you what would work though, a Reccomendations thread for every forum, where you post stuff about bands you've found, and where people can go to find new stuff. Saves zillions of threads being created, and stops bands being forgotten, even if Ken and I would be the main users of them... |

When you recommend a band, you want the focus to be on that band, no? One thread would turn into an off-topic mess. |

But it would give them a bit of attention, more than most of our threads seem to at the moment. Plus, people who are actually looking for bands would find it easier to find them, then, instead of having to search through lots of old threads which may or may not be helpful. If Recent Purchases can stay on-topic, why couldn't a reccomendations thread? |

I think it would be the same with a Recommendations thread. People are going to ignore it either way. Too many faux music fans here! |

I would like to see a sticky for a recommendations/donloads thread, where if you post something that isnt discussing anything already posted you MUST provide some music! |
