And not because there is some special nostalgia attachted to them, or you met your girlfriend when that song was playing, but just because they are beautiful.

there maybe more but those are the first that came to my mind 8)

NP
Abus Dangereux "Le Quatrième Mouvement"

Wow, Stefan sure has masted the list tool.

Ok I can only think of one now, and its The End by Dream Evil, possibly my favourite ballad. I can't upload it because I'm in work, and also because it is HIGHLY ILLEGAL.

Stravinsky's "The Rite Of Spring"

My dad gathered information on why some pieces literally give you goosebumps (he works at the Conservatory)

i doubt I have to upload the piece, though...

Katatonia - I break (infinite sadness)
Orphaned Land - Flawless Belief (it is probably the best song to date that combined metal with eastern influences)
Behemoth - Slaves Shall Serve (because I'm an arrogant fuck and I love screaming those 3 words)
Nile - Unas... (best death metal song ever, the slow and spoken parts are amazing)
Moonsorrow - Kylan Paassa (epic,epic,epic)

and lately
Ministry - Rio Grande Blood (reminds me of how eveyone here is asleep against our treacherous government, we need a voice like this)

I am simply skipping black metal altogether because that would take hours to list and I don't think anyone would read something that long. (Burzum, Deathspell Omega, Wigird, Blut Aus Nord, Darkspace, Drudkh, Funeral Mist, Urfaust, Epheles....)

I didn't upload anything but I'm willing to upload if anyone wants anything, I can upload whole albums too, just ask.

I'm in love with this as well

Post-rock in IDM form with lots of glitch and microsound! Great vocals too!

Sarah Mclachlan's "Hold On" gets me every time! That song is awesome!! When her voice gets all loud and powerful...goddamn!

HOLD ON

It's about someone dying of cancer, so maybe it won't have the same impact if you can't relate, but for me...instant goosebumps.

Good band, bro. "Die For Your Government" is such a killer song! Run DMZ covered it live once in Korea and we pissed a LT off so bad that he refused to let us rent the PA from base supply after that, we had to rent from a Korean dude. What a dick!

@ Eyesore: I love both Sarah McLachlan and that song, and yet another "goosebump-worthy" song would be Sweet Surrender or Adia.

For me, a certain one is When The Music's Over by the Doors. Especially near the end, at the orgasmic breakdown where Jim screams, "Persian night, babe/See the light, babe/Save us/Save us", as his voice starts trembling. The same could be said about The End.
