I'm going to be attending at least 3 festivals this year.

Wacken
With bands such as:

Aborted
Amon Amarth
Celtic Frost
Emperor
Finntroll
Ministry
Motörhead
Nevermore
Opeth

I think it'll turn out pretty good. Will be my 5th Wacken trip!

Metal Camp
Holy fuck batman! It's far away, it's got a beach, and it's got loads of great bands. This festival is going to be a shitload of fun me thinks!

Bands that I'm planning on seeing:

Opeth
Dimmu Borgir
Hypocrisy
Testament
Kataklysm
My Dying Bride
Amon Amarth
Gorefest
Decapitated

Close-Up Festival
A festival to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of the metal magazine Close-Up. Great lineup:

Opeth
Satyricon
Bolt Thrower
Amon Amarth
Cult of Luna
Battered
Raise Hell

So, anyone else going to anything?

Tuska Open Air, right here at home (it takes me just 15 minutes to get from home to the festival area by train).

Celtic Frost, Venom and Impaled Nazarene are playing, among others.

CELTIC FROST AND VENOM, FOR FUCKS SAKE!

Went to the Sziget festival in Budapest last year, which was more of a general music festival- but it had some nice metal bands there anyway- mainly Obituary and Opeth. But this year I can't afford it... maybe Bloodstock though, seeing as how it's 15 mins from my house and pretty cheap. Depends on the lineup.

Plenty of fat chicks in latex and too much makeup at Tuska. Waking up next to a whale with a horrible hangover is something i have to try once in my lifetime...

I was about to say "me neither" but then I remembered we have the Ragnarok Festival this year, with Gamma Ray, Intense and Elvenking announced so far. :)
