All have made good music IMO. I mean, this would be easy to prove by adding up the number of CDs that have female artists involved. Males would of course win, but it's no reason to say art is a 'male thing'.

as some of you might know, I'm not really fond of female fronted metal bands... there are exceptions (Lacuna Coil or Lullacry or Holy Moses are not bad) but mostly, I think women don't fit so well in metal... but some women are über talented, here's my list : - Billie Holiday - Kate Bush - Ani DiFranco - Fiona Apple - Joni Mitchell - Nina Persson (from The Cardigans/A Camp) - Minnie Ripperton - Janis Joplin - Lisa Gerrard (from Dead Can Dance) EDIT - Björk - Emilie Simon but, overall, I think arts in general, and music in particular, are a male's thing... what do you think ? and tell me your favorite female artists too !

Just because I generally don't like songs performed/fronted by women (Nigthwish, Epica and Arch Enemy are like the only three) doesn't mean they have no place in Metal or music. That would be a crazy thing to say.

Meg White can barely whack the simplest drum set in rock.
