Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports Eluvium - An Accidental Memory in the Case of Death By that I mean, minimal piano-driven ambient albums. Prefferably without heavy percussive elements (light trip hop beats maybe), or no percussion at all. Thanks. |

I have an album called "Eight Domestic Challenges" by a band called Wibutee. It doesn't quite fit your description, of piano led/minimal percussion, but it is a great ambient album. Typically it's all about double bass patterns (as in the string instrument) and light trip hop beats with a lot of ambient samples and keyboard noises over the top. And also some quiet saxophones solos. |

I suggest you try Kátai Tamás - Erika Szobája if Misha hasn't forced you into listening to this already. |

Bauhaus-the skys gone out This has rather substantial amounts of percusion but i think you will like it. It is very ambient and Eno played a part in its creation. |

Early Mortiis plus side-projects, and maybe late Burzum. |

I love some of Burzum's ambient stuff, but one of the two ambient albums suck cock... One of my favourite ambient albums is William Basinski's Disitengration Loops (actually 4 albums...), I love that. Any more stuff like that people? Thanks for the recommendations. |
