I thought that we would have this thread around, so we do not stop sharing music, and likewise, so that our members and anyone else who are browsing this site may indeed benefit. Whatever music, of any kind.

I'll start:

American guitarist jazz giant, Pat Metheny. I don't think much more needs to be said.

Some nice records I've heard there Dawn, and some I'll aim to hear the next time I'm in a jazz mood.
Corea's Trilogy 2 with Brian Blade and Christian McBride is a favorite of mine for recent jazz recordings. I had just started diving into his career and then read of his death.

I would completely agree with you, North. That trio is one of the greater rarities in modern jazz, of the late, but much beloved, and never forgotten Corea. One of the main reasons I created this thread was because of you, so that we can discuss music outside of heavy. The other was, to keep Husker company, and not to abandon these forums again.

Chet is a favorite, particularly his stuff with Bill Evans and the immortal Barclays sessions.

Absolutely brilliant! You sir, have good taste. Like Mulligan, although I cannot claim that I know his music very well. I know he was a very distinguished saxophonist.
