Hah. On a more serious note, happy to hear about Agalloch reuniting this September in Germany for a few shows. I know it ended poorly back in 2016, glad to read they buried the hatchet as no one quite sounded like them.

Indeed! Hopefully they'll stop by the UK at some point

Yes, if they come my way I'm gonna have to see them as well.

September. Cautiously optimistic, but who knows.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBrakg2oG30 new Marduk single.

sounds pretty good. Mortuus vocals sound a bit more hoarse than previous records.

Out Sept 29th. Gonna pick up and put down a favorite band in record speed with this one. I liked the first two 'trick singles' but the album is according to this interview overall much more like the atrocious lead single which dropped yesterday featuring NIN instrumentals with Linkin Park vocals and poor Billy Corgan hanging around for 20 seconds. So disappointing.

 Had bad vibes from the singer's new haircut, although I think the singles so far (inc Take Shape) have been pretty good. Guess we'll see...

The Alice In Chains tribute songs with Reba singing are fine, but I don't want Jami led NIN/nu-metal. And releasing 'trick singles' to get people to expect Underneath pt 2 and buy vinyl presales is a dick move. I will say Corgan sounded a lot better on that track than his vocals on his new album, which basically just ruined it.

I neither know if this has been posted (perhaps not) nor if anyone is interested, but Mayhem (the true Mayhem) is releasing a live album set to be released the 15th of this month. I know it personally interests me very greatly.

Nuclear Blast recently announced that they are reissuing physical standalone copies of the entire Dismember discography. Like an Everflowing Stream, the Pieces EP and Indecent & Obscene were released late last month with more to come in the fall.

MDB finished what they consider their 15th full length album in the studio today. Hope we see a release before spring.

Glorious news, but Spring of 2024 seems many eternities away, especially for me that is currently a solitary man at home. Nonetheless, thanks very much for sharing the pleasant news.

Did I also see rumours that they're releasing new music, too? Remarkably solid past discog, great to have them back in print finally after all these years.

It seems like only last week I was posting about new Marduk, and here it is out already! Time flies, we'll be dissecting the new MDB before you know it. Something to look forward to during winter (although we're having a very pleasant late summer currently here in the UK at least).

Indeed, time does fly, but at times it feels that I am stuck at the shooting rays of a sunbeam which moves very heavily and very slowly. Nevertheless, point well taken. Our summer was pleasant too interrupted by forest fire smoke. I personally love winter here in Canada. Harsh and cold with intermittent pleasantries and turquoise blue skies. Never liked scorching hot or even sitting on hot days beside the sea-shores. Much prefer mild weather in the fall and early-spring.

The trouble is with the heat in England currently is that it's very humid as well, rather than the lovely dry heat you get in eg Mexico. Very uncomfortable! But I guess it means a milder winter, which is a good thing here.

Not sure I like the newest single, even with more Reba-focus.

Yes, I understand humidity and hotness are fatal combinations. I've experienced it before and it is never pleasant especially without air conditioning and without rains or breezes. Fortunately, summer times here are not that frequently humid. We are surrounded by the Rocky mountains and this sort of climate brings both brings mildness but also very unpleasant and very unpredictable climate conditions which can be highly disruptive. I used to reside in Leeds for some years and I have visited Manchester amongst many other cities in England.

Still can't believe you liked Take Shape. Dream 2 was a better version of Mirror, and made sense as Forever's album closer. This is just a big reach for a single. Gonna try to bombard Jami and Reba with a difficult, trick question for both of them in their discord Q&A tonight. I'm just not sure where they think their audience is. Lambgoat commentor nailed it imo: 'As for this Code Orange song SMH they're a joke who should rename themselves Darts On A Board cuz that's what they're throwing'.
