Maintains its awkwardness, but does it in a way that is probably much more acceptable to metal audience's. And it received Kim Kelly's seal of approval.

I still haven't given Sunbather a proper listen but this sounds interesting.

It's fairly typical for the band, yeah. Not good news if that other new song was out of the ordinary, MDB really should mix it up more often. Does sound trollish, but hey.

And My Father Left Forever was not deemed atypical not for being good, but for being all clean vocals. People have been speciously comparing their new releases to Turn Loose the Swans since The Light at the End of the World, and that was fifteen years ago, so I'm basically over those comparisons. I want to hear someone compare it to The Dreadful Hours.

And new Gorod is just what the death metal doctor ordered.

I haven't but really want to. It should be available in store some time soon. I loved The Giant and the other two albums that came before that so this should be very exciting indeed.

New Rotting Christ in early February 2016. High expectations as always.

This calls for a re-listening to their last output. I also share your sentiments.

Due out in December. This one could actually top MDB for my favorite full length from the year as Monolithe's last two have almost been flawless.

Hope you like it Noodles.

I thought the new Monolithe on first few listens, continues their progression away from funeral doom towards prog/post rock/metal. The one thing that jarred me about this album is the break up of the usual full length track into three very distinct pieces: 1st one is fairly mediocre, last two are excellent. Also look for some inventive soloing on this album.
