It's interesting that as a musical genre, heavy metal has a lot of non-musical influences: 1. Literary: - HP Lovecraft - Edgar Allen Poe - J.R. Tolkein 2. Movie - Any Horror movie. 3. History - War - Politics 4. Mythology - Occult - Satanism - Paganism - Norse mythology I don't think other genres are so influenced by such a myriad of non-musical elements. |
