That Cave In song is a lot cooler than I remember their alt rock stuff being. Must check out album.

6/10 - great music but if the vocals where not so weak this song would totally score higher.

Daylight Dies-Ghosting

A bit too Opethy of a quasi-acoustic riff to start the song off with, and the vocals are way too reminscent of Mikael Akerfail. After a brief pause it goes into this awful mid-era Katatonia depressive riff, even though the solo is mourful if not out of place in this stinker. The whole song is awkward with that background chugging riff amidst the melodic guitars, its as if they hadn't decided to ripoff either Opeth or Katatonia enough during the song. A weak song from a band that can do a lot better than that.

barely here the bass guitar, production quality very weak, vocals are pretty much non existent and song goes on way too long . 4/10

(Amaran - Katharsis)

Nice! Aggressive as fuck, thrashy power metal. Female vocals not my favourite, but this is the sort of power metal that makes you give a shit about the genre. It's got balls. 7.5/10

That figures.

Anyway, Terra Tenebrosa - 2 / 10... trying too hard to sound unsettling, but the only thing unsettled was my patience

"avant-garde" pretensions bore me, sorry.

The idea is to just leave a link, naming the artist kind of kills a review in a way but whatever works for you.

The link generally says the name of the song anyway. What's the diff?

If you don't leave the name, then the thread becomes indecipherable as to what people are talking about unless you click every single link as you read.

Marillion - Chelsea Monday. I have no patience for this. Ballads. Do not wants. It was by no means bad, but totally not my thing.

Of course it would be only rational to leave a name for the link and some basic information as to what the link is. This way one does not necessarily have to click on the link to figure out what it is only instead they could know by looking at the post.
