Cattle Decapitation - A living, breathing piece of defecating meat.

Who knew that Grind + Melodic Chorus = Win?

I love the gargle effect in the melodic vocals. A friend of mine had no idea I loved them found the song and thought it was the best thing ever. He doesn't listen to anything heavier than Rage and Ministry. And I was like "yeah, cattle decap sounds like the horrible things that other bands have only described".

Travis really is a very versatile vocalist. I like it when Death/Grind vocalists aren't afraid to throw something a little weirder into the mix (since so many death/grind fans can be pretty unforgiving about that shit for some reason).

His facial contortions alter the sound I swear. When I saw him live, he is just screaming his fucking head off then sticks his tongue out in order to alter the sound. It goes beyond versatile vocal chords to using his mouth and throat as an instrument. One he just rips to shreds.

It's really good Olivier, thx for the review. Can't wait for the release. The other songs in the album maintain the same level as the two you posted in the review?

Pretty much yes. My fav is The Fort (jawdropping), and all 11 songs are at least solid. There's no weak song, and lots of strong ones. :dio:

And, my pleasure.

Not sure, it jumped right out of the speaker for me. The first song I heard and liked (Native Blood) is actually probably the weakest song on there so far, except maybe Cold Embrace.

It's actually still the only song I heard from Black Breath and it's great. Looking forward to the two albums.
