Is hilarious. Post your ridiculous tags, if you have them. ![]() |

Napalm's genre tagging is pretty ridiculous at times. |

I delete all the tags immediately and re-do them to work with my system, so I almost never see them, but I have seen some really stupid genres in there at times myself. |

It is usually pretty accurate for the names and albums. Who cares about the genre? |

I've had some really obscure stuff end up being tagged as like jazz stuff from 1994 I've never even freakin' heard of. I'll post up next time it happens to me. |

Sometimes I get MP3s that won't let me edit the tags. This is infuriating. |

probably because they are APE tags and not 2.1/2.2 tags. More likely though the files themselves are marked as "read only" use MP3Tag, it will overwrite the windows settings if you don't know how to manually make them writeable. |

Speaking of which, you have to name albums like "1985 - 01. Power Windows" or "1985 - 01 - Power Windows" if you want them to display correctly in winamp. I've been doing this for about 8 years now. I even switched to mediamonkey to get around it for a brief time, but went back when I was using workarounds for the other two dozen problems that prog. created. |

Will try this, cheers. |

This should be my stance, I know, it's the only sane one, but I'm a bit of a neat freak in terms of my MP3 collection. Everything gets it's own folder, all the albums are titled, named, dated, etc properly. |
