Post subject: | Songs with memorable endings |
I am looking out for songs with memorable endings/ closing moments where it ends with some stunning work, songs which end with about a minute or more of just music and no vocals. Here are some which I can think of for the moment. Metallica - One : I just love the way this song ends. It's sheer musical brilliance. God Dethroned - The Iconoclast Deathride : Everytime I listen to this, I am in a trance. If I have to listen to this when I'm high, I would probably cut myself. Immolation - The Devil I Know : I call the closing moments "The Weeping Devil". Atmospheric and sinister Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son - I don't need to say anything about this. Everyone knows how great this track is. Gary Moore - Parisienne Walkways(Live) White Lion - All You Need Is Rock And Roll (Live) Megadeth - Hangar 18, Burnt Ice Looking for more. |

Scream at the end of Things Beyond Things. The way Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt is louder at the end of the song than at the start even though band seems to be rockin full force at the start. |

Some fadeouts Rush did were spectacular: Mission ends with a guitar solo that fades out right on the root note, but it sounds like it is supposed to last for the rest of eternity. It gives the song such timeless quality. Marathon has a similar ending but this time the same huge circular synthesizer riff repeats with no end in sight and neil's drumwork as it fades out is stunningly beautiful for a percussion instrument. Almost like he is fighting "fading away" literally and as it applies to the lyrics. These are reasons why Peter Collins is the best producer ever. |

Grand Magus - I am the North Yeah, I know there's a whole lot of space-wasting there, but the ending of the actual song is fantastic. |

Seriously, probably the best ending to a song ever IMO This, also Wretched World has a great ending. The song builds up that atmosphere only to have the last few chords blast in like a bomb fucking drops or something. |

I feel stupid now for not mentioning it myself. |
