So what he is saying is that Paul Masdival is an abusive spouse?

A bit sad and disappointing that this news doesn't warrant a response from more than one person here. Fafucksake, Motorhead is one of the foundations of Metal. Philthy Animal is a vastly underrated skinsman and was the "something reptile" that gave Motorhead it's snaky charm.

The foundation of thrash metal drumming lays at the feet of Taylor. Both Lombardo and Ulrich attest to the massive influence of one Philthy Animal. He was one of the true characters of the genre and, as you rightly said, a vastly underrated skinsman. I'm sure Zad would echo this sentiment.

Oh, absolutely. Not been around much else would have posted as much sooner. The legends are slowly but surely leaving us, and it sucks.

Can't live that lifestyle and expect to live forever. I'm surprised that I didn't hear about him passing prior to this.

It's starting to catch up to Lemmy, too.

Seeing his name in news headlines scares me every time.

New Megadeth: http://loudwire.com/megadeth-release-ne ... t-is-real/

I always worry that I'm gonna be conflicted if I like a new song of his as he rants about how western society is doomed, but mvonotone vocals and solid but not spectacular riffing keeps that from happening. At least, since Headcrusher.

Same here. Of all the old timers, I will miss Lemmy the most when he goes. His picture should be sitting next to the definition of rock 'n roll in any and all media formats. Never sold out and never stopped putting out great music.

I thought Endgame was the best album the band had put out in years. It wasn't the re-awakening of the Rust in Peace era that some had made it out to be but it was a damn sight better than recent efforts like Risk or The System Has Failed. As to the new track, it's your standard new-school Megadeth mid-tempo chugger with nothing really too interesting to mention. The band has taken a sharp turn downhill since Endgame so I'm not too jazzed about a new album to be honest. Most of the old thrash guard have been fairly disappointing lately, Overkill and Kreator being the exceptions of course.

Raise your glasses, boys. To a motherfucker who never compromised his integrity, who consistently delivered the goods live and in studio for over 40 goddamn years and who lived and died on his own terms. Of all the greats, he truly personified rock n' roll in all of it's dirty, ear-shattering, bone-crunching glory but never lost his humility or connection to the people who consistently came to pray at the holy church of Motorhead. His physical form may be gone from this earth, but his memory and music will remain in the hearts and speakers of the metal faithful for many years to come. Lemmy, we drink to you. Born to lose, live to win.

It's a black fucking day.
We lost one of the true greats, never gonna be another one like him. Never compromised, never sold out and stayed true to the end.
