Because they like it.

It does sounds like a big mess, though.

I'm okay with lima beans. Then again, I generally love beans, so that's just me.

Eh it's my least favorite bean.

I fucking hate. HATE! lima beans. When I was a child we didn't have a lot of cash, and we had to eat this cheap shit at least twice a week.
As for the "music"... it sounds like it was written by soulless people.

Or, it could very well be that they just suck.

But that's why I can't listen to about 90% of today's death metal; hyperblastbeats, some dude vomiting all over the mic, absolutely emotionless guitars, childish gore / anti-xtian lyrics...

none for me, thanks.

It's not really bad. Where's the problem?

+1

this isn't anywhere near the worst death metal I have heard

It's not the worst, but it's messy as hell. I can't hear anything, save for the occasional squeal, because the bass drum overpowers everything. Also:

Quote:
Genre: Death Metal/Progressive/Experimental

They're not Progressive, and they're not Experimental, they just like those words because they think it gives them more merit.

It's just notes for the sake of notes, ... empty, devoid of feeling and any sense of tone... but, maybe that's their intention.
And I have no doubt that there is worse death metal out there.

It's no secret that I am not a big fan of death metal, outside of mid - late 80's / early 90's era, so, my criticism isn't exactly objective.

I'd prefer to stick my head in a cow's ass than listen to this kinda crap.
Both smell bad as hell but, at least, a cow's ass is (close to) silent.

I liked it. I'm guessing you aren't a fan of bands like Sleepytime Gorilla Museum or Idiot Flesh, or even some Mike Patton projects like Fantomas then?

I love Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Fantômas and I demand that you never refer to those talented bands when talking a bout that pile of dung.

I'm seeing Sleepytime Gorilla Museum on Tuesday, actually.

Author:  Skeksis [ Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:48 am ]
Post subject:

Eh, I found they had a similar bombastic style to those bands, just within the death metal realm as opposed to no realm at all. Hence the reference.

see, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and to a lesser extent Mike Patton at least sound like they're trying to make music that sounds good to them. Anomalous seems like some bizarre combination of showing off, piecing together random bits of death metal, and wanting to make music nobody could possibly enjoy. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY
