Apologies if something like this has been posted already.

It's something that I've thought about for a while. Using metal tracks as ringtones, especially ones that have an awesome intro or similar.

For some reason the first track that comes to mind is Angel of Death.

Does anybody else have any ideas on the subject? Or indeed, does anyone else have a metal ringtone?

I have an MP3 thing on my phoan. Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse (Dimmu, obviously) for incoming calls and Spheres Of Madness (Decapitated) for texts. I tend to have it on silent, however, working in a solicitor's office and all.

I used to have Legend's The Confrontation as my ringtone... that would have been pretty fucking cool if anyone had rung me. They didn't, though.

Nowadays I feel the best thing to have is plain old ring ring.

a guy who came into where i work had a Protest the Hero ringtone. it was cool to hear THE ROYALTY MUST DIEEE out of nowhere. my phone has a bunch of MIDI classical stuff which is more awesome than any other ringtone i can think of so i doubt i'll change it.

Plain ring-ring, nothing else... metal ringtones, well not quite a fan of it... but once I put a metal alarm melody(I put angel of death)... big mistake, so it was a quite shocking when in early morning that scream is waking you up.

Verizon has metal ringtones you can buy. I have Iron Maiden "Two Minutes to Midnight" and Warrant "Cherry Pie" for when my woman calls me.

Tankard - Iron Maiden for calls

Decrepit Birth - The Living Doorway for texts

but it's mostly on silent or vibrate, transferring old people and Decrepit Birth goes off may kill somebody.

Just plain old *ring-ring*. I do however wake up to Pink Floyd's 'Time', it just seemed so appropriate. Unfortunately it means that I stay in my bed for 7 minutes singing and air-guitaring the rest of the song.

I tend to have it on silent or just vibrate a lot due to being at school and everything, but when I don't, its usually:

Ring: Birdflesh - Then You Know
Text: Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Doctored Results

both have awesome intro riffs.

My stupid phone will only let me have random bleepy sounds already in there for texts

But for calls It's I'm only Sleeping by The Beatles.
