What do you think about film directors making the cross over to directing music videos for bands? I think if they can get away with it and do an amazing job for a popular well known artist then more power to them. I actually just read that Joel Schumacher directed the Scars On Broadway new video for their song World Long Gone. It looks like it will be a very interesting video and the music is really good too. Check out some info on it at http://www.scarsonbroadway.com/news/det ... ?nid=16193.

I don't really watch too many music videos, but I always appreciate something more than just footage of the band rocking out in a warehouse. So yeah, I'd say that the movie director thing is a positive influence...regardless of what you think about the music, 30 Seconds to Mars has that cinematic influence and they always have sweet videos.

I don't watch many music videos except the classic 80s/90s ones. "Rocking out in the warehouse" reminded me of the video for Slave to the Grind by Skid Row.

I rarely watch videos. Takes up unnecessary disk space on my PC:P

I tend to watch them once, just so I can marvel at how much money Behemoth are getting for something as simple as a video (At The Left Hand Ov God, whoa). Most of them are shitty, however.
