Post subject:  Favorite Work-Out Albums?

I think we all have albums that just seem appropriate to listen to (or play in our minds) when we're exercising/working out. So what are some of your favorites?

Here are mine:

Megadeth - Youthanasia
Testament - The Gathering
Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss
Death - The Sound Of Perseverence
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
Helloween - Better Than Raw
Sepultura - Chaos AD
Motorhead - Inferno
Machine Head - Through The Ashes Of Empires

I find Brutal Death Metal, especially Suffocation, to be the best, big meaty riffs! Although if I'm doing something monotonous, something complex and proggy can be good - Opeth, Dream Theater etc.

Interesting choices, Sein, I'd have said Countdown To Extinction over Youthanasia, better riffs.

More choices from memory:

late Ministry
Fear Factory
Clutch
Cathedral

Edit: Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Cryptopsy (early)

For exercising I usually go with the really fast stuff. Sunn is a good example.

I've never liked working out to music. Lack of outside sound puts me in a defensive mood and I start hitting people who walk up behind me in almost any situation outside of sitting in my chair. That said I stopped working out and decided that there's no reason not to be a fat slob so it's a moot point I suppose.

Cheesy power metal like Dragonforce, Hammerfall or Lost Horizon for cardio, melodeath or Meshuggah for lifting weights. Catch 33 is excellent for repetitive motions.

Too lazy to work out, hence my propensity for music that's ridiculously inappropriate to work out to.

Cheese filled power metal, but the absolute best is anything by Virgin Steele. Otherwise I'll throw on some melodic death, thrash, or brutal death. But most of the time it is something catchy and uplifting.

when I'm working out I mostly listen to Ramstein of all things. It is not me who chooses the music. I don't dare to turn on my fellow powerlifters which is about 100 times bigger than me.

When im working out outside the schedule it is mostly thrash metal that reigns. Slayer for example.

I don't bring my mp3 player to the gym, so it's whatever they're playing there. And they never play metal, of course. When I go for a jog, I usually go for Invictus, Painkiller, Hell Destroyer, stuff like this. Mind Body Spirit is definitely my favourite song for running.

I usually just put my iPod on shuffle and listen to most anything that comes on. But, I'll say I prefer some fast shit to keep me going.

Just today, I was thinking that Between the Buried and Me's Colors is a great album to work out to because it's so random that you can miss some of the song when lifting and it doesn't mess up the flow of the album.

Meshuggah, Pantera, BLS, Fear Factory. Anything that makes me feel like a hardass, a lot of groove.

I guess since I only work out when playing DDR (Home version only) that my fav album is the soundtrack for the game.

Buttafly :dio:

Really though the music pisses me off but damn does it work, I lost 14 pounds in the first 7 days that I started using it.

Most of my time in the clubs gym I'm rowing on ergometers , which is quite exausting (its endurance type of exercise not power) and you must stay really focused whole the time and it's pretty difficult when it's silence. I tried once with mp3 and trust me then it's just annoying.
