A kind of interesting topic to discuss is cover art. There are a bunch of metal bands past and present that have some awesome cover art so I will be starting some threads of some metal bands to discuss which cover art is the best from that bands catalog first up is Savatage which has some of the best cover art of any band around so which is the best or your favorite and why.I've included their best cover art if there is another Savatage cover art you like post it and explain why you like it.

Savatage does indeed have some awesome covers. I really like Handful of Rain's cover as well and the Siren version that has a ship on it.

The other Sirens cover is horrible though, with its creepy pixie folk.

Anyhoo, my favorites for Savatage are Hall of The Mountain King and Poets and Madmen, with Dead Winter Dead as well I guess, its too good to ignore.

I really like some of Savatage's covers, but while many like Dead Winter Dead, I'm not a big fan of it. There's a great idea there, but the style in which its done falls flat to me, expecially the mediocre gargoyle - not dramtic enough in its arrangement overall. I love all of the others you posted though. I think Edge of Thorns is my favorite, although I don't exactly know why.

You mean like Fight for the Rock?

I see it as one bad cover, a few forgetable ones, and a few really good ones.

Gutter Ballet is one of my favorites, the ghosts make it kind of creepy.
