Why shouldn't it be good? Is there a secret civilisation of mine-dwelling, fish-eating mutants that doesn't think Focus was a classic or something?

You mean you were wrong in not expecting it to be good, or you were wrong in bothering to listen to it?

I was wrong in not expecting it to be good (it is).

:)

It was my favourite album of 2008 as you probably know :dio:

Nope, I didn't know that. You have taste Rio.

Btw, did you like their debut?

Thank you, Lucifer's Son

I am in the "liked Focus but thoght Traced in Air was even better" crowd.

Personally I'm in the "Love Focus, Love Traced in Air" camp. I was already a massive metal fan in 1993. The reaction to it was huge when it came out, or at least in Germany it was. Of course that was 16 years ago, most of you were probably too young to know about such a masterpiece and were probably happy listening to anything. :)

Yes in 1993 I was probably into Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex and nothing else.

Traced in Air is the best album of 2008, by far.

And focus is a masterpiece. Classic for sure.

I actually had the promo to Focus back then. I was in a metal fanzine you see...
It had everything to impress me but it didn't, just never worked. And repeated listens over the years haven't changed that fact.
I'm in the "think Focus is and interesting sound concept but a vapid album and Traced in Air it too good to be true" crowd.
