Pallbearer is coming to Toronto in November or October, I am sure they will have a stop in Montreal.

Nevermore have thrown an entire DVD up on YouTube. Not normally one for music DVDs but it's reminded me that I miss them.

I'm glad high quality concert recordings on youtube is becoming a thing because I like watching them but shelling out 20$ for a DVD was almost always disappointing.

I went shopping for a tube amplifier today, found out they're out of my price range (cheapest decent one was 900$ used and even that probably wasn't beefy enough to power my speakers), so I thought I'd see what I could get for 500$, but then I went home and found out the Technics I have from 1978 goes for 500$ on ebay. Also they're cute:

Imperial from Krieg bitching about Blake Judd:

http://noisey.vice.com/blog/neill-krieg-blake-judd

Wasn't aware of half this stuff. Extracts:

Quote:
Around this same time he licensed the first two Krieg records to a label for vinyl release. I was only tangentially aware of this but what I wasn’t aware of is that he sold the rights to the records and kept the money without telling me it even existed. He did the same in 2009 when Krieg signed to Candlelight, he sold them the CD rights to the first two albums. Rights he did not own. I never saw a dime. The CD reissues remain unreleased.

Quote:
He told me that his wife had left him (no shit, Helen Keller saw that coming) after they got into a fight; He threw her and she broke her leg in several places.

Quote:
When I got to Chicago, Blake’s place was a shithole, sort of like the den from the opening of “Trainspotting." I didn't enjoy it for a second, but I was there to work. Every morning I would wake up, move his needles out of the way in the bathroom so I could brush my teeth, and clean blood out of the shower so I could bathe. I have never been more psyched on the decision to bring my own towel anywhere ever. Sometimes I’d come out of the bathroom and there would be a dealer in the kitchen, always courteous enough to ask me if I too wanted some heroin. Blake barely did anything except check his paypal and smoke my cigarettes.

Normally with any album I listen to I can tell pretty quickly if I like it or hate it. Just found the exception to that rule. I have no idea if i Love Portal's Outre or despise it.

Oh that is just not fair. I would kill for a lineup like that at an Australian festival

Destroyer 666 is from Australia. Somebody should really get all the great australian bands into one venue for y'all. That would be killer.

You know that's one hell of an idea. That needs to happen.

The new Foo Fighters song steals a riff from Holy Diver, weirdly.

Who said they weren't edgy?

Pshh, the edgiest thing out there (other than U2 guitarist, the Edge!).
