Except Varg could play several instruments, well, and Burzum was popular before that happened. Sid Vicious couldn't even manage playing one(it's rumoured that he isn't on the album eithier) Pretty big difference. Nice try though. Also, big difference between killing someone who had plans to off you and killing an innocent chick because you're in a heroin rage, and she told you something you didn't want to hear.

Ignoring the "He was going to kill me" bollocks for a moment, I'd like to see you defending Jon Nodfeldt and Faust for killing gays. Word is Varg was out to out-do Faust...
I can't really. A lot of the information on those cases is conjecture at best. And for the record, I don't defend Varg killing Euro. But it is documented by recorded phone call between Euro and Snorre that he was going to tie Varg to a tree and taser him to death. He threatneed to kill and Varg called his bluff.
Now, if say whole books and countless documents existed on the net describing the details of Jon and Faust's acts as there is with Varg and Sid, I would discuss it. There isn't, and we only know what they said. For all we know they could have fucked those guys before they killed them(most likely scenario). But, for whatever the reasons, killing someone is wrong. But the same as Varg, I defend Dissection, and Fausts' MUSIC. I don't care what someone does off the stage. Just give me a great album. Varg, Jon, and Faust have all made great, even EPIC pieces of music and I stand by that music. I can't say the same for Sid, as his music was crap.
I am no Burzum expert (nor would I want to be one) but killing someone DOES make you more popular no doubt about it.
