 the new Krallice album. It's gonna take many rounds with this one to discover everything.
Discover everything? No matter how many listens I give to a Krallice album I don't know if I could ever make that claim. I'm excited for this one.

True that.

New Neurosis and Converge? I haven't been this excited since 2006.

A teaser for Pig Destroyer's upcoming album Book Burner. And it features a new song called "Baltimore Strangler"!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3LIvfZx2Fc

And I'm not overly impressed.

PD succeeds when they slow it down, but yeah it opens up with a decent motorcycle riff but doesn't go anywhere. However I'm not writing them off after a minute. I'm expecting Phantom Limb quality, not so much Terrifyer.

Particularly difficult to gague the success of a grind album from one track. What might seem like a throwaway track on it's own might be part of a grander whole in the context of the running order of the track listing. I will wait for the album to pass judgement.

Have we got a promo of this? Buzz mine

I was thinking the exact same thing but I couldn't help but be a tad disappointed. I've been waiting for new PD for so long that I guess I wanted to get my head ripped off from the first second onward and this track didn't do it.

I'm quite worried about that. Every album of theirs had some killer songs but quite some filler as well. And now they're going to make a double album? I hope they can pull it off but I'm not holding my breath.

26 songs of the exact same verse/chorus structure, all clocking in at 1 hour and 20 minutes in length. Ugh.

For serious. Do not want. I don't even think Devy producing it could save that.

This. The last album was pretty good, but still had filler. I think this will be biting off more than they can chew. I predict a low 70's range album with 4-5 keeper songs, and the rest forgettable.

Only 1/5th of the songs are keepers yet still rate it a 70?

I agree with trapt actually. A 70s rating is considered "quite good". A fifth of the album being worthwhile means a "somewhat decent" score to me, which would be somewhere in the 60s.

(I'd hate that people think an album I rate between 70-79 is only average. 70 is a good score (the lowest of the "good" scores).)
