The Human Abstract - Nocturne

Gonna be seeing these guys live in about a month so I figured I would give them some listens. I don't really like the vocals but the music is pretty good. They might be cool live.

Aerosmith "Night in the Ruts"

Well, I always loved this album... It's not as good as Toys in the Attic or Rocks but it comes pretty close imho.

A nod to The Voice...

You hearing this for the first time?

NP: Black Sabbath -- Looking for Today

I've had it on my HD for a couple of years.
I haven't listened to it for awhile, though.
Been on a Thrash revival lately.

I see you are going through Sabbath Bloody Sabbath; IMO their best album, and one of the coolest album covers ever.
I remember getting sent home from high school because of that t-shirt, haha. You should have seen the look on the Vice Principals face when he saw it. Dismay and disgust about sums it up.

I know what that is like. I had a Sodom tshirt on, and I was in the library. My histroy teacher saw it, sent me to the office. As I was sitting waiting to talk to the principal my math teacher and another teacher walked by. My math teacher said, "Oh Evan what have you done now?" I was like "I don't know I was sent here because of my shirt." Both teachers looked at it and the guy was like "Oh, it's because of all the inverted satanic crosses. That would be it." I LOLed and the two teachers left. I went into the principals office and he looked at me and said "Why are you here now?" (the principal and I were on first name basis) I was like "Well Cam I was sent down because of my shirt." He looked it over and didn't get it. He said "there must be something wrong with it or you wouldn't be here, so you can stay in my office over lunch."

So the two of us had lunch together and talked about hockey for 45 minutes, then I left. Funny thing is, my next class after lunch was history.

NP: Black Sabbath -- Spiral Architect
and the album is over...

I really liked them for about a week. Vox are a weak point but the dude shines at times, like towards the end of "Crossing the Rubicon". Music is pretty damn good...fans of Protest the Hero should listen...

The Mars Volta -- El Ciervo Vulnerado

Amputechture is awesome, but this song is bullshit.

Katatonia -- Walking By A Wire

This is my second straight listen to Viva Emptiness. Two times in a row. This albums is brilliant. Jonas Renske is one of my favorite singers ever.

The Fall of Troy--We Better Learn to Hotwire a Uterus

Finding that I like these guys a lot more than I originally thought...these are some the most amazingly technical, yet catchy tunes ever. I seriously don't think there is a band that makes playing super technical as catchy as these guys do.

DEP - Ire Works. Didn't immediately love this but it has slowly grown on me and now I could consider myself "addicted".
