I've been listening to a lot of Killing Joke and Skinny Puppy lately. Maybe i'm growing out of metal music.

I've listened to The Smashing Pumpkins' "Mellon Collie And The Infinate Sadness (disc 1 and 2)" about 5 times in the last 2 days. w00t.

The Receiving End of Sirens' new album, I dunno... its really good. Also I've hardly listened to anything with death vocals lately, I dunno, they just annoy me.

YOB and Middian, ultra-heavy stuff. For some reason they remind me of Tool on steroids.

Jesu

I like how its simple yet really deep and immersive. It's the type of music I could get lost in for hours.

Not really an obsession, but omg, The Great Cold Distance is an amazing goddamn album.

MMM!

All of the songs on that album are perfect (except for Consternation and Follower, which I haven't been able to get into). I just hope they can keep up the pace.

I was listening to Jesu non-stop at work before. Check Elf Power out as well, for a more indie, psychedelic take on it.

Therion's Gothic Kabbalah, along with their older material. And also a lot of Opeth.

Sooo...

I'm pretty into the backstreet boys right about now.

really.

I'm not proud to say it, but they're still fantastic.

A friend in my new class told me to give Porcupine Tree a chance, listened to In Absentia, and it's great. Maybe not that much metal most of the time, been listening to it way to much.

Lawlawl. I'm just kidding, cupcakes. I have a couple of Backstreet Boys CDs of my own, though I never intended to own them.

To make a long story short, one of my mom's friends thought me and my brother were girls, and thus, gave her these exclusive live albums from McDonalds.

They're not fantastic though. Don't know what you smokin.

Now, that's an interesting story!

As for musical obsessions, lately I've been in my movie soundtrack phase once again.
