I like BFMV and I adore Reroute To Remain. One of my favourite albums.

As far as Nu-Metal goes, this is some pretty complex/Proggy shit. The bass playing is phenomenal.
:dio: :dio: :dio: YES, I forgot about that one. I like "The End of All Things To Come " as well, but L.D. 50 did and does still sound really good to me. Ryan Martinie steals the show with his bass work.

Oh hey that's another good one too. I remember a video of theirs coming on tv when I was sharing a hotel room in Paris with this conservative christian guy. He was like "Hmmm I think these people have serious problems I'd rather not watch this".

If Avenged Sevenfold got a decent singer, there'd be nothing wrong with them. As it is, I find the whiny bits just too damn whiny.

I agree with the complaints about the A7x vocals, but they don't bother me enough to stop enjoying the music.

And about emo combovers, even Randy Blythe once had them and he's like the manliest toughest son of a bitch in metal so they're ok as long as you're not a fag. If Randy does it = fine by me

Yeah, but Randy has a neat voice. M Shadows don't.

Alcest-Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde gets a lot of flak, mostly from black metallers who resent that Neige made a shoegaze album, and shoegazers who feel it's not a "proper" shoegaze record. By the way, does everyone elses copy have weird hissing static at some points?

Black metallers aren't gonna be too happy with Neige 'cause I've heard Ameosouers' new stuff is going to be more crust-punk with little black metal in it. :P

I still need to listen to Souvenirs more...

I heard it was more post-punk with black metal. People who rag on him for not doing just black metal should realize that he's in Peste Noire, and having three bands doing the same genre of music would be pointless.

I kind of like hatebreed too. They sound powerful for a couple of listens.

Slipknot's self titled is also ok, despite the faggotry that surrounds it.

Terror, Agnostic Front, Discharge, Crass are all much better at hardcore than Hatebreed. Of course, if you want powerful, might as well stick some Suffocation or Dying Fetus on.

And I never 'got' Slipknot. They're somewhere between a watered down Death Metal band and an ever-so-slightly heavier Coal Chamber. At least Korn had a cool, individual Primus-y sound for a while...

I love Discharge and AF too, and Madball and so on.. but Hatebreed isn't bad either.

Slikpnot manages to sound angsty and it sometimes feels right listening to. They really sound pissed off and I know it's pretentious, but sometimes it just feels right you know.

The self-titled CD has some awesome songs on it. Yes, whiny, yes, teen-angst, but they're damn good songs.
