I would like to hear the following:

Burzum covering Marvin Gaye "I heard it through the grapewine"

Behemoth covering Graham Central Station "Hair"

and last but not least:

Cradle Of Filth covering Shania Twain "Man, I feel like a woman"

Atreyu has to be the worst band ever.

I beg to differ, my good man. Atreyu are forever branded on my "Bullshit that sucks horrid cock", whereas Limp Bizkit is only on my "Bullshit that sucks cock" list.

...and for the record, I like Edguy.

Anyways...

Coheed & Cambria's "Time Consumer" covered by Type O Negative. Just because it'd be amusing to hear the extreme contrast between Claudio Sanchez's voice and Peter Steele's extremly bass-y voice.

That is one of my favorite coheed songs, It would be definately be an interesting cover although I think it would sound alot like their cover of Smells like Teen Spirit seeing as Peter half assed the vocals. As for what I think would sound interesting myself, I would have to say also hearing Type O Negative cover Everything Zen by Bush would probably be an interesting one.

I have 2.

"Nights in white satin" by the moody blues, done by either Sirenia, Entwine, Charon or Nightwish.

"Fortunate Son" by CCR, done by either Iced Earth or Manowar

Heart's "Barracuda" is quite metal already, it could handle a metal treatment (probably already has, it would seem an obvious cover).

The Human League's "(Together In) Electric Dreams"

Covered by Power Quest, it sounds like a song they would do themselves

I'll have to have a dig...

Exodus doing it would be good, especially with that voice.

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You-Led Zeppelen

I would love to hear Katatonia do this song. The lyrics would be right up their alley.

Edit: Agreed about the Marduk, and that Taetre's just how I imagined it! Great!

That Sting son, 'Ill be watching you'. its one of the only decent pop songs ive ever heard. Maybe a slowed down, doomy cover?

And, id like to see an Atreyu song be turned into a real METAL song. 8)

And a nirvana song turned BM.

Total Eclipse of the Heart - Sonata Arctica

I like both the song and the band, but together, they could be amazing.

Taetre - Paint it Black

That was freaking awesome thanks for posting that. I agree, the Marduk version is awful, I gave up after 15 seconds. That song is also covered by some punk type band called Gob. Evidently it is a very popular song to cover. Funny thing is, to me, the original sounds much darker than the metal versions.

I had no idea Type O covered Smells Like Teen Spirit, that sounds absolutely bizzare.
