So far i'd say (in no particular order as of yet):

Orden Ogan - Vale
DragonForce - Ultra Beatdown
Circle II Circle - Delusions Of Grandeur
Kiuas - The New Dark Age
Evergrey - Torn
Secret Sphere - Sweet Blood Thoery
Metallica - Death Magnetic
AC/DC - Black Ice

There are many more which i still need to spin properly, like Pyramaze, Testament, Grand Magus....

I'd place the new Rotten Sound up there somewhere as well. Awesome album.

I haven't heard that many new albums this year, but these stick to my stereo:

Darkspace - Darkspace III
Coldworld - melancholie^2

I know i have the latest Amon Amarth album, but it didn't do it for me the first time around. I still like versus the world and crusher the most. Perhaps they are more catchy, perhaps the last two albums are just more of the same... i should give them both in a near future

I'm not sure how much music I've listened to that was released within the past year, but I've been enjoying Wastelander, Arsis, Toxic Holocaust, and, uh, I don't know. I'm out of the loop/still back-tracking in musical terms.

There were many, whom i really liked this year. like...
The Fall Of Troy
Stormwarrior
Coldplay
Cancer Bats
Aborted

but at the end of November i heard a new group Live at Metro (chicago) a few times called "Janus". i loved them, they sound like a mix of the Deftones and 30 Seconds to Mars, "Eyesore" is my favorite track. Found some good reviews of them online too.

I don't think so. On a different note, I didn't realize they had a new album out. Any good?

Top 10:

10. Hate Eternal - Fury and Flames
POOOOWAAAAAA!
9. Bloodbath - Unblessing the Purity
Some fine Bloodbath songs. Perfectly solid death metal.
8. Gojira - The Way of All Flesh
Still damn heavy and awesome.
7. Equilibrium - Sagas
EPIC.
6. Opeth - Watershed
It's Opeth, doing what Opeth does but actually sounding fresh and all.
5. The Monolith Deathcult - Trivmvirate
This is Samuel L mother fucking Jacksson-heavy kind of Metal!
4. Hammers of Misfortune - Fields/Church of Broken Glass
Another excellent album from this imba group.
3. Pin-Up Went Down - 2 Unlimited
Came out of nowhere and f***ed me up. Very intriguing and entertaining.
2. The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath
Will this superhuman band ever stop to make golden records? Where the hell do they get all the inspiration from? Fantastic album.
1. Between the Buried and Me - Colors Live
SO WHAT!? Yeah Colors came out last year, and it's still the best. My obsession is renewed. I would actually go as far as to call Colors the best metal album of the decade.
