Kat broke up with Salome. Worst news of the year. She's dating the guy from Batillus so maybe she'll join them and turn it into Salome part deux.

What are Machine Head up to? Last thing I heard about them was that their guitarist kept collapsing during live shows...

They should be working on a new album to be released this year. Why do you ask? If I remember correctly almost everyone around here hates them.

Didn't mind The Blackening. Album late 2011. Last I heard they have a few tracks done. Supposedly epic stuff but "not the Blackening 2"! they've moved on!

They're a band I grew up with so I guess I have a soft spot for them. I consider The Blackening to be their best since their debut. I'm really looking forward to whatever they do next.

I don't dislike their first two albums plus what I've heard from "The Blackening". I have "The More Things Change" lying around somewhere; "Blood of the Zodiac" is a really cool track for getting someone into metal.

Anyone else been playing around with the new and improved MA website today? I love the Similar Artist voting feature and Upcoming Albums feature. This is definitely going to be useful.

This is interesting. Chimaira are the perfect example of a 2nd tier metal band struggling to make it, and now both their keyboardist and drummer have found the pressure too much. How many other bands will also begin to splinter?
