They're only crap album was STYE. Everything else has been somewhere between good and great.

And please people, In Flames sound nothing like Korn. The closest thing they have in common with Korn is a front man with dreads.

Nah, they've been trash since Clayman. And no one said they sounded like Korn, but their singer sometimes sounds like Korn's singer.

Hogwash. Reroute To Remain is excellent.

Haven't you heard? Your anime type picture voids your opinion.

Everyone's going to be arguing about In Flames for the next year now, aren't they? *sigh*

Lackadaisy Cats represent :dio:. But aye, post Reroute was where I lost interest in them. Not a huge fan of Clayman either as it happens .

Fuck yeah @ waiting 3 months for one new page. :dio:

Also, I guess I can maybe see why people might not dig RtR, but I think it's a poppy, commercial Metal album that does just about everything right.

I haven't liked In Flames since the mainly horrible Clayman.

Nergal is back in the hospital.

Quote:
Only less than two weeks ago, the good news came out that the 33-year-old leukemia-stricken Behemoth frontman Nergal has been released from the hospital. But the optimism proved short lived...

According to Fakt.pl, Nergal (his hot girlfriend calls him Adam Darski), has been readmitted to the hematology division of Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne in Gdansk because he developed an infection six weeks after he underwent a bone marrow transplant procedure.

Dr. Maria Bieniaszewska, assistant professor in the Department of Hematology, was quoted as saying: "The patient was taken to hospital again because he did not care [take] proper care of himself."

It is not presently clear if the infection will affect Nergal's adoption of the bone marrow transplant and how long he will have to remain in the hospital. In his condition, when the immune system is weakened, such infections could even be life-threatening.

According to marrow.org, most infections happen in the first 100 days after a transplant, but they remain a risk as long as the patient's immune system is weak.

Silly sod, should have known better. They basically destroy the existing immune system before transplanting the new marrow, a very dangerous time. Hope he's ok.

Bassist Jim Sheppard of Seattle metallers NEVERMORE will undergo surgery today (Wednesday, February 16) to remove a benign brain tumor. The band's vocalist, Warrel Dane, says, "Please, all metalhead brothers and sisters, send your positive energy for our brother."

Sheppard in 2006 missed a number of NEVERMORE shows after undergoing a minor procedure for Crohn's Disease, a condition he's managed for nearly 20 years. Filling in for Sheppard was longtime friend James MacDonough (ex-MEGADETH, ICED EARTH).

"The Obsidian Conspiracy", the new album from NEVERMORE, sold around 4,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 134 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at position No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Hopefully everything goes well.

Man what is happening to our musicians, first Nergal and now Hanneman has a flesh eating bacterium that is preventing him from playing shows with Slayer.

Yeah, but Hanneman will be fine after some relatively simple surgery. Also, his unfortunate illness means that Gary Holt is touring Australia with Slayer which, frankly, kicks ass.

If anybody saw the Pacifist video from a year ago or so, you may be happy to hear that they are in the hospital after totaling their van by hitting a deer.

Full press release -

Quote:
At 3a.m. Sunday morning on the 20th February.

Keith Fay front man with Irish Folk Metal band Cruachan was savagely attack by a large gang of males in Dublin

Here is what the front man had to say about the horrible and unprovoked attack

While leaving a nightclub with my brother, sister and a friend. A gang of about 15 men in their early 20's began to verbally abuse my sister and my friend. I shouted back at one of them telling him that is my sister and to leave her alone. I was then hit over the head with an iron bar and knocked unconscious. They all started kicking me while I was on the ground. My sister was thrown to the ground also and had her arm broken. When I came to, they had run off, the whole thing only lasted a minute or two. This was on Dame Street in Dublin city centre, a very crowded area at that time of night. a lot of bystanders came to help also which scared the scumbags off. I was stabbed in the face, had my ribs broken and bruised all over.

Bastards.
