System of a Down might be reuniting. I don't know about you guys, but I'm quite excited about this.

Iron Maiden + Sikth is definitely not a combination I'd expect for a supergroup.

Peavy Wagner : We have separated our work to two different projects now. We'll concentrate with Rage on our Metal side and we'll do our Crossover Works (Metal meets Classic) with the Lingua mortis Orchestra, which will become a real band. Besides us 3 and the orchestra we will add a pianist and an aditional female singer to the lineup.
We're hard at work on the songwriting for the 2 new albums. We plan on putting the regular one out next year, and the classical one won't be out before 2012.

What do you guys think? Good or bad news? :unsure:

Definitely, though with emphasis on Tool. Lopez is great, and influence from these bands can work, but when it is that blatant I find it too distracting.

I think it's particularly irritating that they can't put their egos in check to stay together so when the cash grab reunion happens they get to headline shows with better bands that have been around longer. When a band gets back together they should have to start at the bottom rung again.

True. It's a pretty rough demo and bands usually start to sound less like a collage of their influences as they get older though so I think there's potential there.

Well, that was the deal: to tour with them through the end of 2010. But apparently he didn't want to leave afterwards. :lol:
