Speaking of...



Not a bad album but sounds very Watain-y.

Exaltation.

Once in a decade release or perhaps even much more than that. A great enthusiast of their music but I do think it is best to savor their music as an album only once in a while listening to preserve its most delicate but raw nature, perhaps even to retain its artistic integrity. A group of musicians in an entirely different residence than ours. The finest at work and a declarative work on artistic ingenuity.

Starting my listening session a bit late tonight, but I am replaying Dodheimsgard with more attention. Will post a newer playlist, later in the evening. Hope all's well.

Of colossal musical ambition and greater artistic adventure. A recording only reached for on rare occasion, when taste summons for it. And that is because it demands a full attention and only enjoyed as such.

A Friday night ripe for the lengthier endeavors.

A work of considerable depth and breadth, and an uncanny expression of seldom noticed genuineness of creative sentiments which is rarely, if ever cared for, emotionality.

Replaying 1st disc. Will have a new playlist come evening time.

My first time hearing this recording in full. Will be repeating it one more time for a more close listening. However, so far I do like the sophomore release and the one after it more. But, it is their debut, and I do think a debut is at times a band's rawest effort. Although, I do think the following efforts did have more depth and texture to it. All in all, the guitar sound does have much more clarity and distinctness to it, which is always a plus, and so does all the other instruments.

Rocket Queen is my favorite song off that one.
